Artners is a two-player cooperative digital game, played on a single keyboard. Players receive a random colour palette, a semi-randomised set of art-making tools, and a title; they then have 99 seconds to make an artwork fitting that title using the colours and tools at their disposal. However, although each player has an individual paintbrush to control, the players share use of the space bar - which raises or lowers both brushes at once and activates a series of special painting tool to splatter the screen, rotate or distort the image, add text, create lines or hexagons. Just when you’ve got used to the tools the round ends, and you get a new set of tools and colours for the next round.

Artners is still available to play online, but you’ll have to use a browser that allows Flash.
