Drawing Games / 2016 / for No Quarter
Drawing Games was a series of five pen-and-paper games designed to create a drawing over the course of play. They included several two-player strategy games, with players taking turns to join dots or draw lines in accordance with particular rules.
The project looked at procedural generation and rules-based art, and asked: what happens if the rules are enacted by players, instead of by a computer?
Drawing Games were originally commissioned for NYU’s No Quarter, and one of the games was further developed into Art Deck. Read more about the development process.
